Does anybody know the hotels in museum area, if such exists in Dusseldorf? We'll have a restricted time and 'd like to see as much as possible, not spending much time on the road. Thanks forehead!

I'm not sure about the presence of the so-called museum-area, but to the east of Dusseldorf you can find such museums as the museum of Neanderthal Man, Stadtmuseum (town museum) and also Mettmann's historical downtown. This area is called - Mettmann, if i'm not mistaken. Among the hotels which are in the area there are Best Western Grand City Hotel, in the Mettmann area itself: 4 stars, price is not so high, it's near airport, has a fitness room and a sauna to rejuvenate after all those walks; Hotel Haus am Zoo, but it's some kilometers from the city, time - about 10-15 minutes, also Goethe Museum, Museum Kunst Palast and City Hall are close to the hotel. The building of the hotel Haus am Zoo and all around are completely green! It's like a family cottage with an outdoor pool. Staff is very helpful and the place itself is so quiet!

And, one more a nice one is Ringhotel Waldhotel Heiligenhaus - is a 4-star and the service coincides with the price. All is very comfortable, only some rooms can be a little bit dark, but, it depends.
