I'm arriving in Dusseldorf for the 1st time. Could you name any good central places to stay in and visit? Thanks!

You can book a hotel on one of the most famous streets not only in Dusseldorf and Germany, but also Europe, - the Koenigsallee. Lots of boutiques and modern shops can be found there. The 1st to come up in my mind is the hotel InterContinental. Modern and big rooms, floors were unexpectedly heated in the bathroom! Unfortunately, the visiting of gym and swimming pool could be possible only for an additional price, that's a great pity. But, instead, the breakfast was so generous! All in all, it's a luxurious place.

Carat hotel has good reputation for its service. Located in the city centre, the next door to all the main shops and attractions. Only the prices are too high for not so large-scale rooms and problems with free wi-fi in the rooms. Although everything was clean, staff very helpful.
